FAQs
Wondering what sets The Nanny Collaborative apart?
Why are we the best choice for your family?
We’re answering some of the questions you ask the most!
What is different about The Nanny Collaborative?
Everyone at TNC is dedicated to the best outcome for all of our families and nannies. We know that sometimes that means you may find your nanny or nanny family through a different avenue. We will never be mad at that! Your successful match is most important to our team.
Is it okay that we are working with several agencies?
Absolutely. As stated above, we want you to find the best fit. We are confident in our matching skills and know that our passion surpasses other agencies!
How much should we pay our nanny?
Nanny rates vary by market and level of experience/education. Once we learn your exact needs, we will be able to give you guidance.
What is the average length of time nannies stay with families?
This is such a tricky question to answer. So many different factors play into this. Often, families have the dream of having the same nanny from birth through high school. Sometimes this happens, but it is extremely rare. Some nannies really shine in the newborn/toddler stage, but don’t love the elementary years as much. Other nannies love elementary and beyond. This is okay! It’s not a bad thing for nanny candidates to have a favorite age and want to focus on that. Our job is to understand the strengths of each candidate and match that to your needs. In our opinion, two years is a great average for a nanny/family relationship. We encourage families to choose the best candidate for their immediate needs, vs worrying about finding a candidate that will be with them forever.
How long will it take to find our nanny?
This varies, depending on your exact needs. On average, we tell families to
expect a four to six week lead time.
Do you place night nannies?
We do. We will also assess your needs and be very honest if we think your needs are more inline with a Newborn Care Specialist and/or a Postpartum Doula. We’ll do another post detailing the difference in these soon.
